In Loving Memory of My Father

November 26, 1933 - October 27, 2009
I was with him this morning when he passed away. I am grateful for the time we had, the lessons we learned and the grace that always follows great love.
Thank you for your prayers and all the many acts of kindness shown to me throughout his illness.
Love to all of you - Mimi

Mimi,
this is a lovely tribute, done with the love and empathy that was missing when I posted about my dad. You're doing great!

(((hugs))) I am so sorry to hear that Mimi :(

I hope you and your family can find your way back to the run of days, and have the richest of memories about your father.

((hugs again))

I noticed you on a blogroll, and thought I'd pay a visit.
As soon as the photo of your dad appeared I was immediately reminded of my own dear daddy who I lost 19 years ago.
I always feel like mine is watching out for me still, yours is surely watching over you too.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. I am doing OK and slowing getting back into the groove. Look for a new Queen's meme November 10th.

Be at peace. I will always remember your kindnesses.

I am so very sorry that you've lost your father. My condolences.

When my mom died in 2008, a good friend told me, "It never hurts any less... but after a while it hurts less often." It's so true. I love the picture of you holding hands.
